Museu de Arte Moderna, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Curated by Wilson Coutinho

Produced by Instituto Inclusartiz

August – September 1998

The magnificent selection of 122 works from Eduardo Costantini’s collection includes seminal paintings by important artists of diverse backgrounds and influences from ‘Abaporú’ by Brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral to a self-portrait by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Apart from the curatorial approach, sensibility and knowledge, the collection itself reflects the trajectory of the South American art in the 20
th century.
